My technique will always be to capture your family in an honest way. I prefer to let kids be kids and just do their own thing while I click away at the moment. That way, when you look back on your photos, you remember your family as they were.
Authentic Moments
As a child, I spent countless nights looking over albums I'd seen a thousand times to relive my memories with my family. They're cherished and important as life is so fleeting. Let me bring you together and capture those special bonds only families know of. Let's bring together your littles and meet in a park, where they can have some room to run and play while I capture real moments. My goal with your family portraits is to let your children be as much themselves as possible. I love to get both candid and posed shots, ensuring you'll have a great family photo to hang on the wall as well as the ones that melt your heart. Children often do best being photographed in outdoor environments. There's less pressure there. They can explore a little and feel more comfortable when it's time to get together for a few posed shots. Interactions are key and I do my very best to make you and your family feel at ease and comfortable for your entire session.

I absolutely adore photographing families, babies, mamas to be and freezing moments in time. Whether you want me to document your family, newborn or maternity portraits, it's probably one of the most invaluable things you could ever do. Considering this day and age, newborns and children grow up way too fast and leave your home to start their own lives. Getting your littles together with you and your loved one to take photos is such a unique experience that can bring so much fun. You'll walk away with visual memories to add to your walls and photo albums for years to come.
Before our session, I will send you a list of the locations that I often use as gorgeous backdrops to my outdoor photos. You may choose from this list or suggest a favorite park or spot if you wish. It's always an option to stay close to home and have photos taken where you live, as well! Sessions include 30 miles of travel from 80123. Any requests over will incur a travel fee.
All sessions include lifestyle (candid) and posed photos of your family, littles or baby bump. Family sessions can include just immediate family or even extended family such as grandparents, aunts and uncles. I'm also happy to have your fur babies there too!
Newborn Sessions
Capturing newborns is also near and dear to my heart. Before moving to Colorado and then relocating to Vermont, I lived in Massachusetts where I had a photography studio specializing in boutique newborn portraits.
I love creating timeless artwork of your new baby, for you to keep forever. Most of my newborn photography is now with a lifestyle approach in which we use your home or the outdoors as a natural backdrop. But, I also offer a few posed options as an upgrade to your session. Depending on the colors you'd prefer me to incorporate, I can bring wraps, headbands, hats, buckets, bowls, furs and different options to stylize set ups for some of those adorable squishy newborn portraits.
Newborns are the most precious subjects to photograph. From their tiny toes to their delicate hands, they are truly little miracles! Sadly enough, they don't stay this small and squishy forever.
If you're looking to include posed images in your in-home newborn session, it's so important to plan ahead for your baby to be between 8 and 18 days of age during the session. After that time period, it will be more difficult to get those curled up, sleepy poses because they'll start to become more alert. With that being said, older newborns between 3 and 7 weeks of age still get the same attention that they deserve with me! There are still plenty of different poses we can try for an older newborn and with realistic expectations, we will certainly be able to capture beautiful and memorable images for you to cherish forever.
